beneath the stars It's been a week since our newest expansion officially launched! And, I know, I know... some of you already have a lot of feelings that you need to air out. But canon updating in your games is a struggle! And so is finding PSL partners! Luckily, that's what we're here for. This is a post for you to play out all the Shadowbringers-related content you might be dying to write. Behind-the-scenes nonsense? Between-the-scenes angst? It's all welcome here! 1. Emet just rolls his eyes and shrugs. "Yes, we can feel pain. We can even feel tired and hungry until we adjust to our physical form. Anything else?"

She nods because there's still another question burning within. Putting her hand under her chin, Yua proceeds to ask what she wants to know and without teasing.

"How did you come back? While I know you can pull those who are in the Lifestream out but what about yourself? And considering..." She leaves the sentence as such because it's a bad idea to explicitly say that. Not only that but who would be strong enough to do so if it was not him who did?

Emet-Selch just shrugs, shaking his head. "I haven't the faintest idea. I am considerably weaker now and unable to change bodies, but here I am. Alive one last time."

Someone even the great ascian doesn't know? Or withholding information? But then again, if it was a comrade, Yua can only assume that it cannot because why would Emet-Selch be here instead of with the summoner? Was it a fluke?

Yua is lost in her thoughts for a moment but then remembers that the asshole troll is still there so she should probably keep talking.

"Er, how weak do you mean?"

And please whatever power is up there, do not make this some kind of mission where she has to play bodyguard. 90% chance that it will end with her getting dragged in but it's a Tuesday for the Warrior of Balance.

"And what now?"

"I can't do much of what I could previously. Believe me, I tried, and that is how I ended up as you found me--overexertion. For an Ascian." He scoffs. "Disgusting."

Ok so that was because he exhausted himself? Yua cannot help herself as a snicker escaped her lips, picturing him trying a spell and falling down.

"Even you can have bad days it seems."

[angeloftruth]

"Of course I can. I'm alive, aren't I?"

[holdmystabber]

"Alive again it seems. But even so, what's going to happen now?"

Is he going to try and contact his comrades? Will he try reaching Garlemald and keep up the war? Will he still be trying for the Rejoining?

[angeloftruth]

He shrugs. "I haven't the faintest. It's no longer my place."

[holdmystabber]

"...first time figuring out what to do?"

She can't simply assume after all. But what can she do about it? He doesn't sound keen to go back to his former country or maybe...

"I guess you can call it a fresh start."

[angeloftruth]

That gives him pause. A fresh start, hm...

"Can't remember the last time I had one of those."

[holdmystabber]

"I suppose there is always a first for everyone. Including ascians."

Perhaps...this was more than a fluke.

"Maybe this is something only you can learn from. We've talked about how we felt about these shards and stars but you don't strike me as the type to just accept it. No, you seek proof."

[angeloftruth]

"If a thousand life times hasn't changed my opinion, one more certainly won't do it." Honestly.

[holdmystabber]

"And you just jinxed yourself there."

[angeloftruth]

"Oh, so now that you're half-rabbit you suddenly know everything about luck, do you?"

[holdmystabber]

Shaking her head. "No, I don't need to be a viera to get it. Maybe it's like some unwritten law of the multiverse when someone says that kind of thing, the universe decides to prove them wrong."

[angeloftruth]

"It hasn't yet, so I doubt it will do so now."

[holdmystabber]

"Not yet anyway. Although I wonder if I can make a new recipe for popcorn when the time comes. I really need to get back to work on my crafting skills anyway so that should be fun."

And probably work on adjusting her older clothing since gaining a few inches all over.

"...popcorn?" What.

[holdmystabber]

Yua raises an eyebrow at that. Wow, there's a lot of things this universe has no idea of.

"Popcorn. It's popped up corn kernels that become really fluffy after passing a certain heat temperature. Usually they're dried up first before you put them in oil. They go great with butter but other flavors include cheese and caramels."

[angeloftruth]

"Your..."Earth" has found a way to make kernels edible?"

He is baffled. Not even the Ascians had done that.

"Yep. It's usually a snack, moreso when you're watching something entertaining like a show."

[angeloftruth]

"...can you even throw those at the performers?"

[holdmystabber]

"I mean you can but why waste good food?"
