So much so, that Zephirin's eyes narrow as he chews his mouthful for what seems another eternity, and he wishes that he had a glass of water or wine or a cup of tea on hand to cleanse his tongue after its exposure to Ser Adelphel's experiment.

At last, when his throat no longer feels like to constrict in protest, Zephirin swallows. He sets down his knife and his fork. ]
