bomb dance! bomb dance!
Welcome to the my personal favorite occasion of the year, the Moonfire Faire! It's supposed to be something about driving off bombards, and putting on shows for the commonfolk... but isn't the Moonfire Faire
really just about dressing up in swimsuits and cute little summer yukatas? Our prompts this time are less about subject and more about setting, but feel free to write intros that aren't based on things listed here!
1. FESTIVAL. Enjoy all the trappings of a traditional summer festival in the streets of Limsa Lominsa! There's plenty of festival food and games to be had — merchants have set up stalls offering the latest in toys and baubles, and some more enterprising salesmen have set up booths where you can play games for prizes. The games are fun, you know, like catching goldfish in paper nets, and shooting stuffed animals off shelves to be able to take them home, and throwing small balls into holes to rack up points... but let's be real: the odds are probably stacked against you. Maybe you're better off enjoying the dancing girls instead.
2. BEACH. Whether you've chosen the private sands at Mist or the white shores of Costa del Sol, there's always plenty to do at a beach, isn't there? Enjoy some seaside cuisine and an ocean breeze... and the
sights, if you know what I mean. (I'm not the only one who wants a taste of Beaudefoin the Iceman this year, right?) You can splash around in the water, or build a sandcastle, or just lie back and listen to the water as you develop a lovely tan — or sit in the shade, because tans are for peasants. Your call.
3. FATE SPAMMING. Whether it's for the Go Go Posing Rangers or to collect all those cute little Yo-kai, you're now stuck running around and solving all the realm's troubles! Join forces with your fellow adventurers to complete FATEs and defeat Cancer, or maybe just yell at that one guy who keeps kill stealing you. He's an asshole.
4. FIREWORKS SHOW. No matter where you decide to spend your morning, feel free to cool off in the evening with a lovely fireworks show sponsored by Master Gegeruju and the Adventurer's Guild. Starts at 6PM and ends at... er... well, I can't really tell you, because fog rolled in the last time I tried to watch it all the way through...

it feels like the thousand-thousandth time alfeoux has taken this miqo'te wench to her client, and by now, he's getting sick of it. his movements are mechanical: when another set of aquatic beasts rise up from the ocean depths — drawn by the girl's perfume, perhaps, or her succulent flesh or something else — alfeoux has his arrows nocked and his bow drawn before the bloodshore bells even have time to float through the air.
pull, release. an oversized jellyfish deflates.
there is another bell behind his back, snaking its long tentacles in his direction — but by the time he turns, fully intent on backstepping and loosing another deadly bolt in its direction, the beast is felled. and alfeoux, far from being grateful, instead glares daggers at trisselle, who may or may not have killed the thing but is nevertheless standing behind it —]
Do you think I can't handle myself?
