FANDOMS: in addition to whining about xiv i also enjoy blindly stumbling through granblue fantasy and being way too hardcore at dragalia lost. now and then i temporarily fall into "shit that was popular 300 years ago and which no one rps anymore" like castlevania (the games anyway) and code geass but i haven't done that in a while.

omg right??? ok listen in addition to being a francel superfan, i am also a ramza superfan of many many years (i rp ramza too...), so as i was going to see jandelaine i was like, "yeah this is not going to look good, francel is going to look like the ugliest knockoff ramza"

...i was pleasantly surprised to discover that, in fact, he's very cute with ramza's hair, and i actually wish this were his canon appearance because he gives off that "delicate young lord" vibe like this way better than with his actual haircut

and yeah if a friend honestly recommends granblue to you they're actually out to murder you, this is a true fact, i'm already dead

I got into granblue hell to give the one friend I knew who played it at the time some company in the eternal grinding hellscape and now I'm in rank 80-something purgatory of barely not HL enough. And my faves still won't come home. And I have no grid.

...why do I play it again...

I haven't gotten to play tactics yet but I've been looking at it for a while cause tactics games are MY JAM. But no Francel honestly LOOKS EVEN BETTER WITH THAT HAIR it fits like. So perfect? Good choice, 10/10 would appreciate for hours on end.

omg if you love tactics/srpg games i really do love and recommend playing the entire fft series!! you've probably heard this before but the original is the only one that has a classic, medieval fantasy, politics-driven narrative, whereas ffta and ffta2 were nothing like that at all — but still, i liked ffta and ffta2 a tiny bit more as games whereas i definitely acknowledge that fft has some gameplay flaws? but yes wheezes

i'm That Idiot who feeds into the Dragon Knights bullshit cygames puts out every other hour but is also extremely tired of their overexposure...... yet here i am, being a sheep and making it worse and screaming because Percival won't bring his flaming ass home. Heck I only very recently got Wind Lancelot. But more than them just the Society in general. Only like half because Eustace was my first SSR in this game... I DIDN'T GET HIS DARK VERSION ;_; but i now have every version of Bea except Halloween.

i do like me some politics driven narratives though so I might still try out original fft. but i'll probably get into all of them eventually while i'm in fire emblem waiting purgatory. but i also have a huge backlog of games to beat god help me.

NO IT'S FINE LISTEN I AM HERE TO STAN FOR THE DRAGON KNIGHTS... the fact that cygames gives us actual content for them year after year makes me so happy? too many other companies know that their male characters are super popular and yet do absolutely fuck all with them

i do think it'd be nice if cygames gave more spotlight to underutilized characters rather than just the ones that are fandom faves, but i'm just thankful that the ridiculous popularity of the dragon knights means that gbf isn't a 90% ass and titty fanservice game like a lot of other games out there, also that they actually listen to the fans that aren't just whiny neckbeards
