in the cover of the night
Since the last one was so popular, here's a brand-new open post for all of you to post characters, mingle, and tag each other!
Seriously, post whatever you want. Empty toplevels? Open starters? Starters closed to specific people? It's all good — just enjoy!
If you feel like you need a couple of prompts to get started, though, consider any one (or a combination) of the following:
FITS: EVERYONE. No matter who you are or where you are or what you're doing, your clothes have suddenly — poof! — transformed into the Gold Saucer bunny uniform! Because now EVERYONE can wear it... EVERYONE.
PLEASE USE THE AUTO-TRANSLATE FUNCTION. You have the sudden urge to shout a phrase from the auto-translate dictionary at the nearest person! This can be a whole phrase or any combination of phrases. What are you going to yell? "We're chewing the fat"? "I seem to have misplaced my keyboard"? "Miqo'te" "rear"?!
THE CURSED SWORD. A shifty merchant sold you a remarkably beautiful Far Eastern katana for an absolute pittance — with just one catch: now that it's been in your possession for a few bells, the sword keeps whispering in your mind, telling you to
kill... kill... find stronger prey... hunt... The katana cannot be destroyed or abandoned; it is impervious to assault and any attempt to leave it by the wayside will simply find it in your belongings once more. Will your character succumb to its mystical influence? Find a new owner for it? Try to exorcise the evil spirit lurking within?
As always, tag out and have fun!

"I don't know what to look for, I was hoping to overhear a conversation, but I wonder if they'd be talking about it now...we should go back before more arrive." She takes her chocobo's reins and starts leading him away. She'd ride him out, but it appears her new companion is on foot. It would be rude.
"What brought you out here if it wasn't the same thing?"
no subject
She gestures forward, "You take lead, this is your mission after all. I'll support as you ask me."
no subject
If she sounds stunned...she is. The Warrior of Light is offering to support her. She'd imagined meeting her, of course, when she had been recruited into the Scions, but she had always imagine the offer of support would go the other way.
"I really only just...found something. I wouldn't know what to do with it! Come on, Argus, we're going a little faster..." She leads the chocobo behind her as she picks up the pace to take the lead as bidden though.
"I always thought any tribe of beastmen were more or less...um, unified? I never thought they'd have anything to attack one other over."
no subject
"I know there tends to be conflict between the tempered and the non-tempered..." She trails off, frowning. "If this is evidence of interfaction conflict, then we must find out what has changed to lead to such actions."
no subject
And this is where the proverbial flame finally catches. She stops suddenly and looks over her shoulder at Q'uila.
"-oh! Are all of the actively summoning beastmen tempered, then?"
no subject
She smiles at Sayano, "We should probably keep moving, the day's only going to get hotter from here."
no subject
Obediently, she keeps walking, but seems unsure about heading back to the Stones now.
"Could...do you think we could find these Amal'jaa and convince them we have a common enemy? Won't word of summoning attempts reach us faster?"
no subject
She then grins at Sayano, her tail twitches and there is a...mischievous edge to her expression, "That is an excellent idea. Sayano, I task you with conferring with the Untempered Amalja on the behalf of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn."
Delegation, the most important of skills.
no subject
"Oh, certainly, a job suited to a new recruit with no diplomatic inclination whatsoever!"
There's no meanness in the sarcasm - she isn't taking any of that seriously (and honestly is pleasantly surprised to see something so ordinary in a hero the gossip likes to portray as well beyond it!)
"Anyhow, none of that matters if we can't find them. It's as if- huh?"
She kneels next to a discarded spear in the sand. "I can't believe this is still here. This is one of the clues I followed a few hours ago."
no subject
Q'uila crouches down next to Sayano as she gestures to the spear, she gives it a sniff, "Well it certainly smells like Amalja...although tracking scent through sand is an absolute pain in the arse. So tracks it is!"
