Felih is laughing and continuing to zoom along, gaining more and more momentum as they get closer to the town.
(How Felih intends to stop? Er. Well, he'll figure it out when he gets there.)
"Dancing in battle's all short bursts! This is endurance, my friend- and I bet I can outlast you," he grins, ears wiggling as he takes a running leap over a creek and continues sprinting along- although now he can see Quarrymill's walls up ahead. Soon...!
And suddenly, Felih finds himself wrapped and suspended in tight chains, and he yowls in shock before he realizes what's going on. He watches Koo'ri take advantage of this to run past him, and then hisses and yowls.
"Hey! Hey! Koo'ri! That's cheating, you jerk!" he fusses, squirming in the chains- and very glad that they were friendly ones, because he remembers how excruciatingly painful enemy chains could be. "I was winning!" he protests, huffing and affronted! Betrayed, by his own tank! What a cruel world!
"That's it, I'm not making that dish you wanted for the meeting on Firesday!" he yowls as punishment, pouting. Felih Tia, grandmaster mage, one of the masters of arcanima--- pouting like a kitten.
He's still so young, in the grand scheme of things.
Felih was trapped until Koo'ri was out of range enough for the chains to come undone around him, and he yowls and shouts from across the field, "Cheater!" He continues to bolt, and though he knows he's lost because Koo'ri has arrived into the town square already, Felih still launches himself at the Au Ra and tackles him, a blur of fur just nyooming over to claim his revenge.
You know that scene in Calvin and Hobbes when the pair goes tumbling through the door when a tiger tackles a boy? Yeah that. The pair went rolling around Quarrymill in a ball of semi-furious fur and scales.
Felih eventually, somehow, manages to roll and tumble with his Auri friend until Koo'ri is finally pinned on the ground under him, the petite Miqo'te purring and huffing victoriously as his tail wiggles.
"You cheater," he says, as if to reaffirm his righteous vengeance, pouty even as he purrs from his successful pounce. "I would've won," he declares, trying to soothe his wounded pride from being wrapped up in his own tank's chains. Of course, Felih being as small as he was, Koo'ri would probably have no trouble getting him off.
Felih's tail is still lashing grumpily behind him as he pouts down at his tank, refusing to get off.
"Oh, I don't know, maybe because of something called my trust in your," he whines. "Which, by the way, has now been mortally wounded, it may never recover." He pouts, and he's being melodramatic, but hey, it's fun to mess around with his friends.
Felih just huffs. "If you dare, then you'll be working without a healer. If I die, I'm coming back to haunt you. Just you specifically. And you will never sleep again," he whines and threatens, his thick tail thumping fussily against Koo'ri's legs in his protest.
Felih snorts, finally dropping the pout. "You and I both know that's a lie," he says. his tail finally starting to sway more playfully instead of thumping irritably over Koori's legs.
After a moment, though, his ears droop and pin backwards slightly.
Felih can't help but laugh. This dork... He relaxes considerably and leans down to playfully and affectionately bunt his forehead to Koo'ri's, although he does have to be mindful of the other's horns to make sure he doesn't accidentally scratch himself on their tips.
"...yeah," he says, before pulling back and finally getting off his friend, offering him his hands. "Let's get back to the inn and clean up. It's been a long day."
Felih laughs a little, tugging up the giant Au Ra, before shaking his head. "I... don't think so. We're a long, long way from the Steppe- I think we'd be hard-pressed to find Steppe food anywhere outside of the bigger cities," he muses. "And even then, it might be difficult..."
His ears perk up a little, curiously looking at him. "The Steppe... it brings to mind the Xaela, but- aren't you Raen?" he asks, curious.
"Yeah, worth a shot though. Gridania food's all vegetables after all. It's gotten better though."
Koo'ri shrugged a little, half grinning. "Grandma was a Mol, and would cook for us when she was alive. Emee liked to say that the spirits reside in everything after all, even the food. She passed the food down the family line, even if we were living under the sea."
Felih laughs a little. "It's a bit hard to hunt in the Twelveswood, from what I hear of the contentious relationship between its residents and the elementals," he chirps, sidling against Koo'ri as he walks along, ears perking up curiously as he listens to the story.
"I see... That sounds lovely. It's nice, to be able to pass things down, and remember. Living under the sea seems so nice... The blessing given to us- mayhaps it is the greatest treasure I've yet come upon. To breathe in water as in air is... a comfort, and a joy," he muses, tail swishing happily as they walk along.
Felih grins. "I know, I know. I tend to find myself missing fish whenever we go too far inland, so I guess it must be just as strange for you to be without meat. I'll go and try to find something to prepare, if you like. You tanks and your insatiable appetites," he teases, amused, tail brushing against Koo'ri's.
Still, he hums a little. "Funny, how we've ended up like this. I wonder if the others ever feel so strangely about our lot in life."
Felih laughs a bit, shaking his head. "You lot are ridiculous," he says, as if he doesn't also eat a ridiculous amount of food if given the opportunity. Still, he's tired and relaxed, letting himself slowly become at ease.
"I'm so tired, though... I think I'll wash up then nap. Maybe I can face the rest of the day then," he murmurs.
Felih smiles, happily brushing his tail against Koo'ri's scaly one, before he chirps, "Thanks. What about you? Do you have anything pressing to do, this evening?"
He's more than ready to just go bathe and nap, but he tends to feel uneasy leaving any of his party members unattended for too long, considering they all had a penchant for getting into trouble. (Himself included, admittedly...)
i love those videos tho they're all so fUN
