Felih grins then, puffing up proudly. "That he is- quite the protective one. Give me just a moment," he says, starting his work on the summoning spell- and then, in a big burst, Coral appears and stretches across the ground, looking rather easy-going. The bright topaz carbuncle sniffs around curiously before yipping at K'pandolu as if greeting her, although he seems content to just sit down where he is instead of compete for attention.
Rolanberry, meanwhile, continues to snuggle up to K'pandolu for more attention, purring and yipping happily at all the affection.
"He's a spoiled thing- carbuncles are unfairly cute by virtue of their design, and Ro has simply learned how to use such a thing to his advantage..."
K'pandolu makes a startled sound, sitting up straight, and holds a hand out for Coral if he'd like after a moment. "You are a big fellow, aren't you?" she murmurs. "No wonder you're the protector- the others could probably all curl on you, hm?"
She rumbles happily, stroking behind his ears. "They really are too charming," she agrees. "Though- that's clever of him, don't you think?"
Coral is purring, chirping and yipping happily at being praised, leaning against her hand happily, fluffy cheek pressing into her palm as his tails wiggle in contentment. Rolanberry, meanwhile, is whining for more pets, pawing at K'pandolu's hip.
Felih just snorts. "It's clever, yes- but Twelve, he likes to use his looks for evil... Sometimes I have to scold him because he'll have stolen sweets away from someone he charmed and distracted." He's already halfway through the next summoning spell, and in moments, there's a third carbuncle among them.
The emerald carbuncle is rather petite compared to Rolanberry and Coral, maybe reaching up to Felih's knee when she was standing, but she sits prim and proper, grooming herself with a paw before she stands and struts up to Rolanberry, swatting at him with a little paw and making the red carbuncle whine and stop insistently pawing at K'pandolu's hip.
"And that's Aqua. She's very well behaved- won't put a paw out of line. And she's very good at keeping Rolanberry behaving, too," Felih says with a grin.
K'pandolu makes a happy sound in turn, scritching behind Coral's ears. He's very charming as well! And she does have a second hand she can pat Rolanberry with- it's not a bad way to occupy oneself, if she says so herself.
She gives Felih a little wry smile. "Well- it shows he can learn. And- at least it's sweets?" Seeing the third carbuncle be summoned, K'pandolu lets out an impressed whistle, watching the emerald carbuncle approach.
"She's very dignified," she agrees. "And it's good that he'll listen, hm? I'm sure he's no trouble with you around, Aqua. It's a pleasure to meet all of you!" She reaches to offer Aqua a hand. "I think this is quite impressive, too," she remarks.
Felih laughs. "Well, at least it's only sweets, and he's certainly clever, but it's not as if he needs physical sustenance. He just likes the taste," he chirps, terribly amused, shaking his head as he watches K'pandolu petting both the aetherfloofs. Rolanberry is nearly falling over from how much he's leaning into the petting. Coral, meanwhile, is sitting contentedly and steady, the gentle giant nuzzling the woman's palm.
Aqua, meanwhile, is a dainty little lady, and when K'pandolu offers a hand, she puffs up a little and presses her little paw into K'pandolu's palm, as if giving her a handshake. She chirps happily, and when Rolanberry whines for more attention, Aqua yips at him and makes Ro huff and flop down impatiently at K'pandolu's feet instead of pawing at her insistently.
"I have a fondness for carbuncles- it took some time, but I'm able to summon multiple of them at once now. It helps, in a sense- I never really have to fight alone," Felih explains with a smile. "And with my fae Holly with me, we're a pretty good team."
"They do taste nice," K'pandolu agrees- she's not as fond of sweet tastes as some, but she definitely appreciates them. Two aetherfloofs to pat is even more delightful than one!
That's even more adorable than she'd expected, and K'pandolu perks up with a little chirp, shaking Aqua's paw a little. She grins when Aqua convinces Rolanberry to flop down. "Definitely no trouble," she murmurs.
She turns her head towards Felih, and nods. "They're wonderful creatures! And what a good idea- companionship wherever you go!" She blinks, and leans forward. "Your fae, too? That's incredible!"
Aqua seems pleased to have her paw shaken, puffing up proudly because she is polite and knows how to greet folk, isn't she a good girl? The emerald carbuncle is small but mighty, clearly the one ruling the roost, judging by how she could make Rolanberry behave.
K'pandolu will certainly have her hands full, with three carbuncles now trying to sprawl over her in one manner or another, the fluffy creatures happy for the attention and delighted to meet a new friend.
Felih, meanwhile, just laughs, "Ah, yes... I'm a scholar of Nym. I managed to find one of the soul stones by chance upon my journey, and it seems I was skilled enough to activate the knowledge within- and thus I've now a fae companion of my own, as they did in centuries past. Though, she is quite energetic, and maybe having her out at the same time as the carbuncles may be a tad overwhelming for you..."
"And you? Do you have any pets or traveling companions?" he asks curiously.
