(( a million years late, but would you care for a thread of Haurchefant accompanying my teeny WoL on a walk around ... somewhere in Eorzea? because sometimes a WoL just needs a small break to hang out with her best bro. :c

I am also up for literally anything though so if you've any desires let me know! ))

(( no worries! I feel you on that. Going to set this after the Scions are made wards of House Fortemps, but before Haurchefant integrates back in with the group in the Sea of Clouds during the Vanu Vanu stuff. hopefully this works! ))

[ Ishgard is beautiful. The architecture is so unique compared to what Era has seen of Eorzea thus far, and while it's cold and dark it's so very enchanting; arches framing views of Abalathia's Spine, and gorgeous stonework rails overlooking sheer drops so deep she cannot even guess as to how far away the ground is.

But outside of the Temple Knights, the Forgotten Knight, and House Fortemps Ishgard is far from a welcoming place. Era is an outsider of a race unfamiliar to the Holy See - a race with horns and scales not unlike dragons, even if there is no relation between them. No one dares assault a ward of Edmont Fortemps, but people are clever when they wish to be cruel. She is diminutive and so it's easy for someone to shove her to the ground in the Jeweled Crozier and claim it as an accident, and more than once she has had someone spit at her feet (my apologies, I didn't see you there).

There are kind souls to be found here and there, but few are far enough between that Era has teleported to Camp Dragonhead for the day.

Her arrival is met with smiles and it's like a weight off her shoulders. While she cannot set foot in most other regions of Eorzea the knights of Camp Dragonhead are steadfast allies, offering her warm welcomes and earnest inquiries about how she and the others are fairing.

They are delaying her meeting with Haurchefant and Era knows it's because her dear friend must have paperwork stacked high on his desk. She can't blame them for the tactic, and gives them an hour to catch her up on how the camp has been doing the past few weeks. Once the hour is up, however, Era's smile turns dark and she strides toward Haurchefant's office with such purpose that no one dares try stalling her again. ]

Haurchefant.

[ Her voice, while quiet, carries easily through the room. She can see the conflicting emotions on Yaelle and Corentiaux's faces - the happiness at seeing her again, and the despair that her visit means another day of their Lord putting off his work. ]

Would you care to join me for a walk around the highlands?

[ Probably the first inkling her friend will have that not all is well with her, for as much as Era adores the outdoors and exploring she also has a very low tolerance for the cold (already her visible skin is pale where it isn't flushed red). If it's not for a quest of some sort, the young Auri woman tends to stay away from idle wandering in Coerthas. ]
