Felih's ears perk up considerably when he realizes Janlenoux is shopping for ingredients, something that immediately has his tail quivering with delight, distracted quite quickly.
"Oh, I would not doubt it! But that aside- are you a culinarian yourself, Ser Janlenoux?" he asks, much more focused on the food now. "What shall you be preparing? Though I have little experience with Ishgardian fare, I do have knack for cooking myself," he chirps, bright-eyed.
Nothing connects people like food, after all- Felih loves to chat with other cooks, trade tips and recipes.
Nothing connects people like food holds true, for Janlenoux's smile widens over Felih's apparent excitement. He regards the Miqo'te man with a similar gleam of curiosity in his eye. So-called recent developments genuinely seem forgiven (but then, Janlenoux is neither Ser Grinnaux nor Ser Paulecrain).
"I had a mind to prepare naught more than standard Ishgardian fare — a gratin, perhaps, unless the merchants' selection today leads me to reconsider." Tipping his basket toward Felih, Janlenoux reveals its near-empty state; his shopping has barely commenced.
"I take it you find our markets a rewarding challenge, then?"
Felih is nothing if not eager about food, the culinarian ever seeking to broaden his knowledge and recipe repertoire. "A gratin- I've heard of them, though the dish isn't so common in La Noscea. We focus more on seafood and fruit," he says with a little laugh, curiously settling at Janlenoux's side.
"It certainly is interesting, seeing the different ingredients here. But it makes for new experiences, and chances to create new dishes," he says in delight, perusing the nearby grocer's stall. "Still, on the rare occasion I see something from home, I get terribly excited to prepare it for our hosts. It's the least I could do..."
His ears perk up and then turn towards the knight once more as he lifts his gaze. "What foods are to your liking, ser knight?"
