Come on, that's not what I meant. I'm just sayin' they can seek knowledge some other day. It won't kill 'em to come back tomorrow.
[He huffily crosses his arms in stubborn retaliation to the suggestion of work. He just got done with that! He let the suggestion hang awkwardly as he stared directly at Khamu'wo. It was if he kept eye contact with the miqo'te long enough surely he would get his way.]
...Ugh, fine I guess so. But you gotta head back when I do too or I won't accept.
[Khamu'wo rolls his eyes at Ikar, because he clearly knows nothing about those who seek knowledge. However, his insistence that he returns at the same time is interesting, if not curious.]
Why must I? Have you plans for me, or is this merely a pettiness thing?
[Ikar shrugged before pushing off from the desk he was leaning on.]
Eh, it's a lil' a both.
[No hesitation, he'll admit he has petty motivation. Khamu'wo clearly wasn't surprised if he was calling him out on it. So why be bothered? The plans aren't a lie though. He actually had shipped some fish back to the Free Company earlier in the morning. A typical shipment, but he had included some special pricey fish he was saving for himself. He had considered sharing with Khamu'wo for a nice meal...but now he had cemented the idea to make himself look better.]
The plans ain't bullshite either- I promise, but do we gotta deal?

[For shame Ikar, not everyone is a lazy slacker like you.]
I am far too busy to play teleporter, surely you can earn yourself the deficient from helping out around the city. There is always work to be done.
[A pause, as he glances over at some disorderly equipment set outside of the storage closet, tomes, armor, some practice dummies...]
Or, better yet I may have some work for you here if that would suffice.
