[I kinda want to do a scene where Asahi comes to visit after she's made Acting Viceroy, but I'm honestly up for anything]

[ Well isn't that sweet of him!
I'm down for that. A little trash talking about DOMA SAVAGES is A++ in my books. ]

[He is very sweet.]

Asahi sas Brutus walked the halls of Doma Castle, on his way to the throne room. Never in a thousand years did he imagine himself here. Not even as a child. He had always been the practical sort, concentrating on his studies and doing whatever his parents had asked of him, knowing that it would lead him down the path to glory.

And it had. He had risen in the ranks of the Garlean Military quickly and now was as high as he could go. It chafed a bit, being unable to rise any higher due to not being a true-born Garlean. Not even being adopted into the Brutus family could help with that.

Aside from that, he was content with his lot in life. He served under Lord Zenos. The man was a visionary. He would blaze a path of glory for the Empire. Zenos was a man who didn't care about where you born. He only cared about how much you hated and how well you performed on the battlefield.

And Asahi prided himself on both aspects.

He entered the throne room without ceremony, quietly slipping in while Yotsuyu finished up with her work.

He studied her for a moment. They had underestimated her. He had underestimated her. He blamed their parents for that. His mother had always resented the fact they had to take care of her and had put her to work. He had believed his parents that she was simple because he was a child. Which was why he had suggested her marriage to her late husband, and why their father had sold her to a brothel.

But she had proved herself. And he felt proud of her for it. She was still a tool for Lord Zenos, but so was he.

"Hello, sister."
