[While Nanamo had few illusions about stepping outside of the city, it was because it was usually done in secret. Travel for the Sultana was a dangerous thing, factoring in bandits, evil corrupt members of the syndicate, syndicate assassins, and others.

Lolorito had a vested interest in keeping her alive, for how long she had no qualms about pushing. But the guard was a personal friend, along with the carriage driver who had been said to aid the warrior.]

We are making good time, [said Nanamo in a conversational tone.] We should reach the Twelveswood in no time. Pray, come sit by me.

[Aurora glances up at her quickly and gives a stiff nod.] Y-Yes, Your Grace. [She can't help but feel nervous as she moves to sit next to her. The lalafell tries so hard to not let her nerves show; how can the Sultana feel safe if her guard is so fidgety?]

Are you doing well, Your Grace? Do you need anything?

I should be asking you the same. You seem restless. I daresay it isn't because of an imminent attack.

[the Sultana smiled, and despite her disguise, seemed at ease with speaking at a level with her Paladins of a more friendly level. Come, Papashan has packed a dinner, and we are already nearing the Eastern reaches. We can break for lunch.

Ah... forgive me, Your Grace. I'm just...

[Starstruck. But instead of saying that, she smiles it off instead with a nod. She pokes her head out of the carriage to alert the driver to halt so they don't have to worry about the bumpy road. Aurora is glad for it actually.]

Would you prefer to eat in the carriage or outside, Your Grace? I believe we're in an area where no one should bother us.

We can eat here, the sun is hot today and I wouldn't want my guard to suffer from heatstroke.

[Nanamo reached down and picked up the picnic basket, and pulled out several items in order to set them on the bench.]

What do you like?

[Aurora is grateful for that; though she would've eaten outside if that's that the Sultana wanted.]

Some water would be good to start with; thank you, Your Grace. And perhaps a sandwich. Allow me to make sure the driver has his food too.

[She gathers up a small bundle of food for him and steps out to hand it over. He was busy tending to his Chocobos to join them but was thankful for the meal. The paladin hurried back in; the sun really was killer today and felt awful on her armor.]

[In the meantime, the Sultana had set up a few things, a cooled jug of water, sandwiches and a few carefully warmed kabobs.

She nodded, offering one of the sandwiches to Aurora as she poured some of the magically chilled water.]

Here you are.

[Aurora takes it with a smile.]

Thank you, Your Grace. [The water tasted ten times better than usual, and she kind of just... helps herself. Though of course there's plenty for the three of them and the chocobos. Her face lights up as she takes a bite of her sandwich, her manners fading for a moment.]

I made it myself. It's high praise.

[it kept the chance of being poisoned low after all, and the Sultana liked to keep busy.]

[Midbite, Aurora stops in her surprise and looks over at the Sutana. She gulps her bite down quickly as her face goes red.]

Y-You, Your Grace?

[She looks down at the food in her hand and quietly smiles.]

Thank you for sharing with me.

It is the least I could do. I must say, putting the meal together was quite fun to do.

[Nanamo smiled at Aurora before taking a quick bite of her own.]

[Aurora finishes up her sandwich then takes a big gulp of her water. She feels so much better and a lot more relaxed.]

I hope you don't mind me asking, Your Grace, but is this something you do often?

Not often. But after my less than recent moment with a handmaiden, I felt like learning how to cook.

Call it a priority measure. Also, I wanted to surprise my Sultansworn with a hand made sandwich once in a while.

[She smiled at Aurora, in a way that would probably make her heart skip.]
