That's entirely possible! People are fascinated by it, still… Personally I worry I'd fall off one of those, but there's something to be said for it being spherical.

Actually, there's a slight field projected around them so that you remain on it - my modification, of course. I don't see any safety features on these Claws.

So if you were at some height and it, ah. De-clawed… that would be a problem, wouldn't it?

Yes, that's- what I suspected, unfortunately. So- the simplest thing would be to ensure it couldn't do that without the command- but would that work well enough?

Please, Drifter. [ is he intentionally getting name wrong... ] If automations perfectly listened, I wouldn't be here. Even simpler ones have flaws, and if that happens to be dropping Spoken from a height? That's part of the charm.

Drifter…? [he gets a look, but- well, she went with this name for a reason.] Hm. I suppose not, and in this case I'm reasonably thankful… But, ah. I'm less charmed- particularly if it's someone I know. Perhaps a signal if something's about to happen…?

Can't you simply pack a parachute? Honestly, you blame the machine for all this.

Well, you'd think it'd be simpler to make the machine let you know something's about to happen… But that's not a half-bad idea. I'll see if I can't mock something up and test it out. From a survivable height, of course.

...What, exactly, is a survivable height for you Spoken?

I've not had to consider it before.

I haven't exactly measured it, either… I've been off the top of a few towers, and that seems to have worked out, though.

Towers, you say - how high? Were you injured?

...And were you in combat? You Spoken seem to become a lot less durable when you're pursued - or perhaps it's the pain of combat getting to you.

Oh- a good few storeys, it was… You know, the Observatorium, and- the one in Whitebrim, whatever that's called. And jumping for the light in- the Monument Tower, in the northwest. Hurts, but it's nice to land it!

[so she shakes her head at that, though she looks a little thoughtful.] It could be- I know I'm always a little more upset when something's chasing me.
